Manager Finance – Legal Entity Accounting & Reporting (Hybrid)

Location: Hybrid in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with Cedar Rapids, Iowa also listed as an available location. In-office attendance is required on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Salary: $109,000–$140,000 annually, plus potential eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Lead accounting and financial reporting for assigned non-regulated legal entities and holding companies.
• Oversee quarterly and annual close activities, including journal entry review, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Ensure accurate and timely legal entity financial statements, reporting packages, disclosures, and support for consolidated financial statements.
• Manage annual audits, regulatory reporting, and other external reporting requirements.
• Partner with Consolidation, External Reporting, Treasury, FP&A, auditors, and other teams on strategic initiatives, capital transactions, and restructurings.
• Maintain and improve internal controls, reporting processes, and team performance while coaching and developing team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.
• Eight years of accounting or finance experience, including three years of supervisory or management experience.
• Strong people management skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and Excel skills.

Nice to have

• Strong understanding of GAAP and U.S. Statutory accounting principles.
• CPA or an advanced degree.
• Experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
• Experience supporting complex, international accounting and reporting environments.
