Sr Program Planning and Scheduling Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Lone Tree, Colorado, United States; hybrid or in-office work. Other listed location: Plano, Texas. Occasional travel may be required for training or meetings.

Estimated starting salary: $173,260.72–$238,233.49 per year, depending on skills, experience, education, training, certifications, and geographic differential.

What you will do

• Oversee integrated master plans and schedules for highly complex and strategic aerospace and defense programs.
• Maintain horizontal and vertical schedule integration, assess schedule health and compliance, and address completion shortfalls.
• Lead schedule risk assessments, critical-path and network-logic analysis, and mitigation of major execution risks.
• Resolve scheduling conflicts using Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, and advanced project management techniques.
• Prepare strategic schedule reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Mentor planning and scheduling staff, improve organizational practices, and support strategic program decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute, with 15 years of related experience required without a degree. A higher relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• 11+ years of program planning and scheduling experience, including at least 4+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven leadership in change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, accountability, and annual reviews.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project Professional or a similar scheduling tool and familiarity with Earned Value Management tools.
• Experience developing and maintaining resource-loaded integrated master schedules, including detailed schedule analysis, health assessments, schedule risk assessments, and critical/driving-path analysis.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required because employment requires an active U.S. security clearance. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible.
• Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment and use a computer for extended periods, with strong hand and finger dexterity.

• Deep knowledge of Earned Value Management, EVMS, DCMA 14-point analysis, IPMDAR DI_MGMT-81861, and MIL-STD-881.
• Advanced critical-path, schedule-risk, schedule-performance, and schedule-health analysis skills.
• Expertise building Integrated Master Plans and Integrated Master Schedules, Work Breakdown Structures, event-based and product-based schedules, rolling-wave plans, and resource-leveling models.
• Knowledge of engineering design and life-cycle concepts, program management processes, DoD and government contracting requirements, and public auditing standards.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, teaching, onboarding, and delivering employee training or certification programs.
• Ability to work across multiple software systems, facilitate stakeholder learning sessions, and present strategic insights to executives.
