Senior Program Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Full-time, on-site in Albuquerque, NM, with work in office and manufacturing environments. Applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR/EAR requirements; some positions may require current U.S. citizenship.

Salary: $80,500–$123,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead top-level program plans and coordinate execution plans with group leads.
• Develop project plans, define deliverables, and manage requirements, schedules, budgets, resources, and performance metrics.
• Support proposal development, pre-award performance, negotiations, and definition of cost, schedule, quality, deliverables, and performance objectives.
• Establish and integrate change-management processes; identify and manage program risks, issues, and opportunities.
• Lead customer and program communications, facilitate issue resolution, and report status to program leadership and customers.
• Guide programs from development through final product delivery while documenting team responsibilities, accountability, and authority.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience in aerospace or a technical field as a project or program manager.
• Thorough knowledge and proficiency in project management areas and accepted industry standards, including PMI, PMBOK, ANSI, and ISO standards.
• Ability to lead and direct activities and resources across the organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to listen, assimilate, evaluate, summarize, and communicate with customers at all levels.
• Knowledge of the full project lifecycle from requirements definition, proposal preparation, negotiation, and implementation through completion.
• Ability to define, propose, implement, and communicate schedule metrics supporting informed decision-making.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance.
• Ability to qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR/EAR requirements; current U.S. citizenship may be required for some contract-related positions.
• Ability to work in office and manufacturing environments, sit and stand for long periods, and use computers and telephones.

• Master’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and complete assignments within program schedules and budgets.
