Program Manager III (Unmanned Systems)

Location: Remote - Virginia, United States; U.S. citizenship required; ITAR/U.S. person eligibility required; Top Secret clearance required. Up to 20% travel and regular office-environment work are required.

Salary: $101,000–$171,500 annually.

What you will do

• Manage one or more programs throughout their lifecycle, ensuring cost, schedule, technical performance, customer alignment, and satisfaction.
• Define and manage program controls, success criteria, risks, mitigation plans, priorities, and interdependencies across project teams.
• Lead program meetings and reviews with customers, stakeholders, and executive staff while communicating program status and health.
• Develop program plans covering budgets, Estimates at Completion, resource allocation, communications, and product requirements.
• Manage scope changes and advise leadership and customers on potential impact.
• Support business development, opportunity capture, and preparation of cost and technical proposals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• 8–12 years of Program Management experience, including a proven record of running multiple successful projects.
• Experience managing firm-fixed-price programs and developing risk management and mitigation plans.
• Experience working in a highly technical environment and deep knowledge of project management methods, tools, and processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and MS Project.
• Top Secret clearance required; U.S. citizenship required.
• Strong verbal and written communication, analytical and strategic thinking, leadership, integrity, initiative, ownership, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and across cross-functional disciplines, including with government and commercial customers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and travel up to 20%.

Nice to have

• PMI or equivalent certification.
• Experience with Unmanned Aircraft Systems.
• Experience managing international programs outside the United States.
• Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
• Familiarity with export licenses for military products exported to foreign countries.
