Security Engineer (EU Remote)

What you will do

• Monitor AI and cybersecurity developments, identify emerging risks, and improve controls for AI applications and services.
• Manage security configurations for AWS, Azure, GCP, the colocated datacenter, firewalls, networks, and Office 365.
• Deploy and manage certificates through infrastructure as code and strengthen phishing, virus detection, and end-user account protections.
• Conduct vulnerability, port, and perimeter scanning; support patch reporting and enforcement for laptops, servers, and virtual machines.
• Assess vendors, customer security questionnaires, third-party applications, audit findings, and certification activities.
• Maintain Mac and Windows endpoint standards, acceptable-use policies, MDM processes, MFA, and SSO coverage.

Requirements

• Degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• At least five years of hands-on experience in security engineering, security administration, infrastructure security, or a closely related role.
• Thorough expertise in computer systems, networks, cloud technologies, applications, and security systems.
• Experience managing CrowdStrike and Microsoft Purview.
• Proficiency in cloud infrastructure, Linux, virtualization technologies, and infrastructure automation.
• Experience with LDAP, Docker, Git, JumpCloud, and Microsoft 365.
• Active participation in the cybersecurity community through professional organizations, conferences, training, certifications, research, or knowledge sharing.
• Strong presentation, interpersonal, communication, analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively across global time zones in a 100% remote environment.
