Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Conduct security risk assessments and compliance audits, identify information and network vulnerabilities, and recommend risk levels and improvements.
• Develop, maintain, publish, and enforce security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
• Implement and administer GIS data security programmes and regulations, including GDPR compliance.
• Investigate intrusions, identify security issues, and recommend improvements to information systems and controls.
• Evaluate and implement security technologies including data loss prevention, firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection.
• Manage cybersecurity-tool account provisioning, de-provisioning, and access levels while providing technical guidance and representing the team as a regional contact.

Requirements

• Extensive work-related experience in a similar role.
• Ability to develop solutions to complex problems requiring in-depth evaluation of situations and data.
• Extensive knowledge and application of relevant security principles, theories, and concepts.
• Ability to determine effective approaches, improve policies and procedures, and address complex security issues efficiently.
• Critical thinking and adaptability when responding to evolving security challenges.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including explaining technical information to non-technical stakeholders and producing clear, concise reports.
• Collaborative approach within a global team while managing individual responsibilities.

Nice to have

• Knowledge and experience with CrowdStrike, Cribl, Netskope, and ArmorCode.
