Staff Technical Marketing Engineer (AI)

Location: Based anywhere in the United States; listed home-office locations include Tacoma, Albany, Sacramento, and Atlanta. Hybrid work is indicated.

Base salary: $153,400–$231,220 plus bonus.

What you will do

• Work with sales teams and customers using technical and industry expertise to support deals and increase product adoption.
• Build technical demos, proof-of-concepts, and lab environments for networking, security, and cloud products.
• Create reference architectures, solution guides, blogs, whitepapers, videos, presentations, and other technical marketing content.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering to ensure accuracy and consistency in customer-facing materials.
• Evaluate customer and market needs, provide feedback for product roadmaps and messaging, and support design reviews, workshops, and solutioning engagements.

Requirements

• 8 or more years of experience in a technical role related to networking, cybersecurity, threat intelligence, software development, cloud operations, or technical marketing.
• Proven experience building or producing technical content for AI-related solutions, including copilots or other enterprise software integrations, networking solutions for AI, or visibility solutions for AI.
• Experience with DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) solutions, such as hirify.global, Microsoft, or cloud provider services.
• Experience with one or more public clouds: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or OCI; DDI and other cloud networking experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, Bash, or similar programming or scripting languages, with experience building tools, APIs, or automations.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly through demos, whitepapers, videos, presentations, or other multimedia content.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, networking, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Self-starter mindset, passion for learning, and curiosity about the how and why of complex systems.

Hiring process

• During the first 90 days, connect with mentors and stakeholders, map relevant systems, shadow customer engagements, and establish short- and long-term goals.
• Within six months, conduct customer and prospect demos, complete product training, contribute technical content, support launches, and build cross-functional relationships.
• Within one year, own sales engagement for a focus area, support major deals and customers, share thought leadership, and provide customer feedback for product roadmaps.
