Global Vendor Manager (Data Center Infrastructure)

Estimated annual salary: $93,000–$128,000 for Denver-based hires; $104,000–$143,000 for Seattle- and Washington, D.C.-based hires.

What you will do

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for structured cabling, power systems, cooling systems, cage and space fitout, fire suppression, and commissioning services.
• Build supplier portfolios, conduct market research, assess vendor capabilities, and maintain geographic coverage and supplier diversity.
• Lead technical due diligence, supplier qualification, onboarding, contract execution, and master service agreement negotiations.
• Evaluate power, cooling, redundancy, thermal modeling, containment, cabling, and full-scale data center fitout capabilities against infrastructure standards.
• Design supplier scorecards and governance processes covering delivery, technical quality, safety, cost, warranties, risk, and corrective actions.
• Partner with Infrastructure Engineering, Data Center Operations, Network Engineering, Power Engineering, Facilities, Legal, Procurement, and Finance on supplier selection, contracts, risk, and project delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supplier management within data center infrastructure, construction, or critical facilities.
• Technical knowledge of power distribution, electrical load calculations, UPS and generator sizing, PDU selection, cooling load calculations, CRAC/CRAH sizing, airflow, containment, structured cabling, and data center cage or space fitout.
• Experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing infrastructure supplier relationships end-to-end.
• Strong project management, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, including influencing without direct authority.
• Ability to collaborate with engineers, operations teams, and vendors in a fast-paced global environment across multiple time zones.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and familiarity with procurement, contract management, or ERP systems.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Construction Management, or Supply Chain.
• BICSI, CDCP/CDCE, PE, PMP, CPSM, CPM, or CSCP certification.
• 7+ years of strategic sourcing experience directly managing data center infrastructure vendors.
• Hands-on data center construction, infrastructure deployment, or commissioning experience as an engineer, project manager, or technical lead.
• Familiarity with TIA-942, Uptime Institute Tier Standards, ASHRAE, NFPA 70/75/76, hyperscale or colocation environments, TCO modeling, technical drawings, sustainability, and renewable energy procurement.
