Lead Program Manager (AI)

Location: Centreville, Virginia, United States; ability to work in an office environment required; occasional travel up to 25%; U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain at least a Secret DoD security clearance required.

Salary: $116,500–$177,500 annually.

What you will do

• Manage multiple computer vision, perception, analytics, and related technology programs through proposal preparation, contract negotiation, execution, and close-out.
• Gather customer requirements, define success criteria, maintain customer alignment, and manage customer satisfaction.
• Develop program plans covering budgets, estimates at completion, spend plans, resource allocation, communications, schedules, staffing, and technical progress.
• Implement program controls, identify and manage risks, develop mitigation plans, and manage changes in scope and their impacts.
• Coordinate cross-functional project teams and dependencies, lead customer and technical reviews, and communicate program status to stakeholders and leadership.
• Support business growth through bidding, opportunity capture, and preparation of cost and technical proposals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, business, or a related field required; equivalent education, training, and/or experience may be considered.
• 8–10 years of relevant program management experience required.
• Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot complex systems.
• Proven record of running multiple successful projects.
• Experience managing CPFF, T&M, and FFP technical development programs.
• Experience developing risk management and mitigation plans.
• Experience working in a highly technical and dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of project management methods, tools, and processes; proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to interface effectively with internal teams, organizational leadership, and government and/or commercial customers.
• Ability to work in an office environment, sit and stand for extended periods, and use computer and telephone equipment.
• U.S. Citizenship required under ITAR requirements.
• Ability to obtain at least a Secret-level DoD security clearance required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, initiative, ownership, collaboration, leadership, and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with government contracts, especially DoD/DoW programs, and/or software projects.
• Experience with MS Project.
• Familiarity with contracts, non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, and other legal or contractual documents.
• Experience with export/import licenses for EAR- or ITAR-covered products and technologies.
• Experience working with DoW and Intelligence Community organizations on advanced technology, research, or AI/ML initiatives.
• Active DoD security clearance.
