Software Application Development Engineer

Location: Hybrid role based at an assigned Intel site in Phoenix, Arizona, or Hillsboro, Oregon, United States; employees split time between on-site and off-site work.

Annual salary: $85,950–$141,950 USD for US-based roles.

What you will do

• Design and implement full-stack software applications across frontend and backend systems.
• Analyze user stories and develop functional and test code that meets requirements.
• Automate builds, deployments, and testing workflows.
• Perform unit, integration, and end-to-end testing to ensure application quality and performance.
• Apply secure coding practices and complete Secure Development Lifecycle tasks with product security engineers.
• Gather requirements from end users, propose modifications, and contribute to technical documentation, installation procedures, and maintenance guides.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 0–1 years of hands-on domain experience demonstrated through internships, academic projects, coursework, or hands-on training, or a Master’s degree in a relevant field with no prior professional experience.
• Experience with modern programming languages such as Python, C#, C++, Java, or JavaScript.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies, including Agile practices.
• Knowledge of coding principles and software legal compliance guidelines.
• Experience with testing frameworks and tools for unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze and optimize complex software designs.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with teams and end users.

• Enthusiasm for contributing to innovative software projects and driving meaningful change.
• Experience with .NET, Oracle, GitHub, Copilot, or NYRA.
