Associate Software Engineer (Backend)

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid work with at least 3 days per week in the office for candidates within a reasonable commute

What you will do

• Design, develop, troubleshoot, maintain, optimize, and scale cloud-based backend services.
• Deliver high-quality releases to customers and drive innovation across the product suite.
• Research, test, benchmark, and evaluate new technologies.
• Collaborate with other teams to define and build new features.
• Optimize existing features, write clean code, and communicate with people at all levels.

Requirements

• Attention to detail, tenacity, creative problem-solving, and the ability to think ahead.
• Ability to design, develop, troubleshoot, maintain, optimize, and scale backend services.
• Ability to research and evaluate technologies, build product features, optimize existing functionality, and write clean code.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate with people at all levels.
