Data Engineer (Python/GCP) - French Speaker

What you will do

• Build and maintain data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses.
• Design ETL/ELT workflows, data models, schemas, and data validations.
• Develop Python-based data solutions and use Google Cloud Platform services including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow/Beam, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer/Airflow.
• Support AI prediction models through data preparation, feature stores, MLOps, and production deployment and monitoring.
• Coordinate data orchestration, CI/CD, testing, scheduling, and version control practices.
• Contribute to analytics, data privacy, and governance initiatives in a regulated financial-services environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• More than 6 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer.
• Proficiency with ETL/ELT concepts, data modeling, schema design, star and snowflake schemas, and normalization.
• Experience with Python, including design patterns, testing, packaging, and performance considerations.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform, SQL, data pipelines, data lakes, or data warehouses.
• Knowledge of AI prediction models, machine-learning data preparation, feature stores, and MLOps principles.
• Familiarity with Airflow or Cloud Composer, CI/CD for data pipelines, and Git.
• Familiarity with UAT, QA testing, test planning, data validations, and test automation.
• Experience with Spark/Databricks, Control-M, or other enterprise scheduling tools; knowledge of BI/Analytics tools and GDPR/CCPA.
• Fluent French and English required.

Nice to have

• GCP certification or strong working knowledge of GCP.
• Experience deploying and monitoring AI prediction models in production with GCP-native tools.
• Experience with streaming data, Kafka, Pub/Sub, and real-time analytics.
• Knowledge of Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization and BI tools.
• Experience in regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or telecom, including related data governance.
