Group Product Manager, NextGen (AI)

Location: Remote for candidates who live more than 30 miles from a hirify.global office; candidates within 30 miles of an office must work hybrid at least three days per week. The role is based in the United States, and candidates must already be authorized to work there without current or future sponsorship.

Annual compensation: $115,000–$165,000, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Own one or more NextGen solutions end to end, including discovery, requirements, prioritization, prototyping, validation, and shipping with engineering and design.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a small team of Product Managers while modeling strong product craft and balancing coaching with autonomy.
• Set the product vision, strategy, and roadmap across the NextGen portfolio, connecting shared workflows, integrations, and data.
• Identify practical AI applications that reduce manual work for campus staff and simplify student experiences.
• Partner with sales, marketing, implementation, client support, engineering, compliance, security, and risk on launches, delivery trade-offs, and regulatory requirements.
• Define and track adoption, retention, workflow completion, time saved, and institutional satisfaction metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
• 6+ years of product management experience, including a strong record of personally shipping products and at least 1 year mentoring or directly managing Product Managers.
• Experience partnering with go-to-market teams to launch complex SaaS or platform products.
• Track record of personally shipping AI-enabled or data-driven software products with measurable business impact.
• Ability to align and influence stakeholders across engineering, design, and commercial functions.
• Player-coach mindset, high agency, strong product judgment, clear communication, customer focus, and comfort making decisions in ambiguity.
• Must already be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree focused on strategy, technology, or leadership.
• Experience in higher education technology, fintech, payments, or B2B2C platform businesses.
• Experience with platform modernization, replatforming, or migration initiatives.
• Familiarity with PCI Level 1 compliance, payment processing workflows, or ERP integrations including Workday, Banner, PeopleSoft, or Colleague.
