Senior Embedded Firmware Developer

What you will do

• Design, implement, debug, unit-test, integrate, and release production embedded firmware for consumer and home appliance products.
• Develop device-control, OTA, and differentiated product features according to defined architecture, interfaces, and HAL standards.
• Implement reference architectures, HAL layers, shared drivers, and core firmware components for motor control, sensor and actuator integration, and power management.
• Prototype technology options, participate in technical design reviews, review and integrate partner-developed firmware, and assess delivered code.
• Maintain CI pipelines, static analysis, test harnesses, code coverage, reproducible builds, feature branches, and PR-gated release workflows.
• Bring up firmware on target hardware and resolve hardware-software integration issues with Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, and NPD.

Requirements

• 5+ years of embedded software and firmware development experience, including production firmware delivered in commercial products.
• Experience implementing reference designs, drivers, or platform components from documented interface contracts and architecture defined by others.
• Strong embedded C and C++ experience on resource-constrained platforms, with RTOS knowledge.
• Experience with HAL implementation, platform portability, microcontroller peripherals, drivers, and low-level hardware interfaces.
• Knowledge of motor control, sensor and actuator integration, power management, OTA update mechanisms, and device security fundamentals.
• Experience with Git workflows, CI builds using gcc and CMake, headless builds, unit testing with Ceedling or equivalent, and static analysis.
• Ability to debug on target hardware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG/SWD, and trace tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with consumer electronics, home appliances, robotics, or comparable high-volume products.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, or embedded build infrastructure.
• Experience reviewing or integrating code from external development partners.
