Software Engineer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Build and ship components for detecting security vulnerabilities, threats, shadow AI, and other agentic threats.
• Develop data loss and ransomware detection mechanisms with low false-positive rates.
• Design and implement context-aware ingress, data exfiltration protection, unified data movement policies, and network perimeter enforcement.
• Write design documents focused on reliability, latency, and auditability.
• Translate requirements into well-scoped tasks with senior engineers and Product Management, then deliver features independently.
• Own implementation, testing, code reviews, and production rollout of secure, well-tested features.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of network security fundamentals, including TLS/SSL, HTTP/S, and DNS; Zero Trust principles or Data Loss Prevention concepts.
• Solid coding skills in SQL, Java, and Python, with exposure to distributed or backend systems and willingness to gain full-stack exposure.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and their security or networking controls.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Eagerness to learn, accept feedback, and grow ownership over larger parts of the system.
• Clear communication and comfort collaborating with cross-functional partners.

Nice to have

• Exposure to cloud-native security controls such as VPC Service Controls and Private Link.
• Experience with egress control, network perimeter enforcement, or policy engines.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows and tooling.
• Contributions to open-source security projects, security research, or CTFs.
