Senior Associate, Financial Planning & Analysis

Location: Falls Church, Virginia, United States

Base salary: $88,200–$123,200 per year; compensation may vary in other cities and states.

What you will do

• Support the annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, and monthly account analysis.
• Partner with department heads and office leaders to analyze operating expenses and communicate trends.
• Review financial information, track expenses, ensure accurate cost allocation, and support reclassifications.
• Refine financial models used for operational budgeting and assist with quarterly management reporting.
• Coordinate with Finance and Accounting colleagues to deliver timely financial data.
• Drive process improvements for accuracy and efficiency and provide ad-hoc analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related experience.
• 3+ years of related experience, including forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and financial modeling experience.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with JD Edwards, Oracle Cloud, or a comparable ERP solution, plus analytical tools such as Power BI.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to resolve complex problems.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain financial information to non-financial audiences.
• Task- and goal-oriented, with the ability to work in both entrepreneurial and corporate settings.
• Eagerness to improve efficiency through technological capabilities.
