System Administrator (Senior-Level)

Location: Non-remote position at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, United States; relocation incentive available.

Salary: $80,000–$100,000 annually.

What you will do

• Administer and maintain enterprise servers, operating systems, virtualization platforms, storage, and supporting infrastructure.
• Monitor performance and availability while maintaining stable, reliable, and secure systems.
• Implement patch management, vulnerability remediation, cybersecurity compliance, backup, restoration, and disaster recovery processes.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, cloud migration, modernization initiatives, and enterprise technology integrations.
• Document configurations, standard operating procedures, knowledge articles, and infrastructure processes.
• Collaborate with network, cybersecurity, cloud, application, and engineering teams to resolve complex issues and provide technical guidance.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification or higher required, such as CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent.
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Teamwork Administrator Associate.
• Eight or more years of experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure, systems administration, and Microsoft enterprise environments.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, backup solutions, enterprise infrastructure services, virtualization, storage platforms, and system lifecycle management.
• Experience with patch management, vulnerability remediation, cybersecurity best practices, cloud migration, modernization, or enterprise infrastructure initiatives.
• Baseline certification must be obtained within six months of hire if not already held.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, IT Service Management, or a related technical discipline.
• Azure Administrator Associate certification (AZ-104).
• Experience with VMware, Linux, virtualized enterprise environments, ACAS, Nessus, or similar vulnerability management platforms.
• Experience supporting cloud administration and migration, mission-critical systems, enterprise applications, and DoD environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Windows PowerShell, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
