Presales Solutions Architect (Cloud Storage)

Location: Seattle, United States (hybrid); travel up to 50% across the Pacific Northwest United States. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents.

Annual on-target earnings: $250,000–$300,000 with uncapped commission and accelerator opportunities.

What you will do

• Lead architectural discovery and translate complex data challenges into scalable file, object, and hybrid-cloud storage solutions.
• Deliver high-level solution designs, hands-on technical validation, demonstrations, and proofs-of-concept.
• Partner with enterprise Account Executives on deal strategy, technical proposals, customer evaluations, and competitive displacements.
• Build trusted relationships with CIOs, VPs of Engineering, storage leads, and other customer stakeholders.
• Guide customers from proof-of-concept through production and explain hybrid-cloud architectures.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise presales engineering supporting complex sales cycles across cloud, distributed systems, or large-scale data platforms.
• Deep technical foundation in hybrid-cloud architectures, unstructured data, and modern storage environments across edge, core, and cloud.
• Experience with distributed file, object, or cloud storage ecosystems, such as AWS S3 or enterprise infrastructure platforms.
• Strong knowledge of modern networking and protocols, including SMB, NFS, and S3.
• Command-line operational experience in Linux/Unix or Windows environments.
• Strong consultative and technical storytelling skills, including whiteboarding, technical discovery, demonstrations, and competitive proofs-of-concept for technical and executive audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical enterprise experience.
• U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residence is required; employment visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Cloud or infrastructure certifications.
• Background with modern data platforms, hyperscale cloud storage services, or vendors such as NetApp, Dell/PowerScale, Pure Storage, VAST, or Weka.
