Gameplay Capture Editor

Location: El Segundo, CA, US; hybrid work model with office attendance 2–3 times per week.

Salary: $30.00–$36.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Capture iconic, visually compelling gameplay moments by playing games at an expert level and applying deep knowledge of their characters, mechanics, settings, and storylines.
• Capture and edit dynamic gameplay sequences that communicate narrative, excitement, and distinctive game features.
• Collaborate with marketing, creative, and game production teams to align footage with brand, storytelling, content, and release goals.
• Plan gameplay moves and camera approaches for specific sequences, including challenging perspectives within each game's camera system.
• Use Unreal Engine camera tools and Unreal Sequencer, operate capture software, troubleshoot recording and playback issues, and organize footage for final edits.
• Use Premiere and other Adobe Creative Suite tools to deliver edits based on briefs and direction.

Requirements

• 1–2+ years of proven experience in gameplay capture, editing, content creation, or similar roles in gaming or digital media.
• Experience with game engines, specifically Unreal Engine, and game development tools for capturing gameplay footage and creating custom cinematic gameplay shots.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience with Adobe Premiere and other relevant Adobe Creative Suite applications.
• Strong understanding of the visual and mechanical dynamics of 3D games.
• Strong sense of composition and ability to frame visually compelling, narratively rich scenes and moments.
• Proficiency in capturing and editing gameplay footage with a storytelling approach.
• Strong collaboration skills for working with creative and game development teams on content and updates.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• In-depth knowledge of and passion for Mabinogi, including understanding of how to capture moments that resonate with its community.
