Engineering Manager (AI)

Location: London, United Kingdom; 5 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Design and implement end-to-end features across the fullstack platform.
• Contribute hands-on to the codebase while leading architecture discussions and technical decisions.
• Maintain high standards for code quality, security, performance, development practices, DevOps, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to ship reliable value quickly.
• Review code, provide feedback, mentor engineers, and support team health and efficiency.
• Work with Node.js, React, Azure, AWS, and Kubernetes.

Requirements

• Seasoned fullstack or backend engineering experience with 1–3 years of leadership experience.
• Ability to remain hands-on while setting technical direction.
• Experience building scalable products and owning complex systems end-to-end.
• Confidence working across backend, frontend, and infrastructure.
• Strong communication, empathy, and clarity in leadership.
• Passion for mentoring engineers and helping teams grow.
• Proactive, independent problem-solving ability in a fast-paced environment with limited processes and unclear answers.
• Willingness to handle hard work and long hours when required.
