Product Designer (E-commerce)

Location: Norwich, United Kingdom; office-based Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm

What you will do

• Own and optimize customer journeys across web and app, from discovery and purchase through onboarding, engagement, and retention.
• Identify customer needs, motivations, pain points, and improvement opportunities through research, data, and insights.
• Develop, visualize, prototype, communicate, and implement intuitive digital experiences balancing customer needs with business goals.
• Define and monitor UX KPIs, conduct usability testing, validate hypotheses, and iterate based on feedback.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Research, and other stakeholders on a human-centred design process.
• Shape UX best practices, design standards, and processes within the team and ZEAL’s UX Community of Practice.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product design experience in a digital-first business, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership and measurable business impact.
• Strong experience designing and optimizing e-commerce experiences, ideally in a fast-growing or scaling business.
• Expertise in responsive, mobile-first web and app design, ideally including native iOS and Android applications.
• Strong UX and UI skills, including high-quality designs, wireframes, and prototypes at different fidelity levels.
• Experience creating immersive storytelling experiences and visual narratives that drive engagement and conversion.
• Hands-on user research and usability testing experience, with strong analytical skills for translating data and insights into design decisions.
• Experience building, maintaining, and scaling design systems, with a deep understanding of UX/UI principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including advocating for users, challenging assumptions, and guiding cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience designing native iOS and Android applications.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted design and prototyping tools for ideation, experimentation, and validation.
