Senior Software Engineer, Edge Security

Location: Remote, open to candidates residing in North America; availability during core US business hours is required, with participation in an on-call rotation. Travel may be required.

Salary: $181,220–$217,464 per year, with potential eligibility for equity and discretionary bonus programs.

What you will do

• Develop backend systems for large-scale web applications and security products, primarily in Go.
• Write clean, modular, robust code and implement product requirements.
• Optimize code and tune system performance.
• Collaborate with technical and product teams in a distributed environment.
• Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and related engineering processes.

Requirements

• 4+ years of enterprise software development experience.
• Hands-on experience developing and operating backend systems for web applications.
• Knowledge of HTTP and related networking protocols, including technologies such as Varnish and H2O.
• Strong interest in network security.
• Experience working in a collaborative, distributed team environment.
• Linux, automation, and shell scripting skills.

Nice to have

• Experience building security solutions.
• Expertise in Kubernetes.
• Experience managing hybrid cloud environments spanning data centers and public cloud.
• Experience with languages such as C or Rust.
