Technical Program Manager (Quantum Computing)

Location: Delft, Netherlands; on-site with a hybrid setup

What you will do

• Own top-level execution and delivery for one to two assigned development programs.
• Coordinate project and discipline leads across development and production to deliver programs on schedule and within budget.
• Manage day-to-day execution, departmental handoffs, schedules, baselines, and gate reviews.
• Identify risks and bottlenecks, plan contingencies, and escalate blockers to relevant stakeholders.
• Mentor junior program managers and support the PMO Lead in establishing common program language, product-lifecycle practices, team rhythms, and training.

Requirements

• More than 6 years of experience, including over 4 years managing delivery of complex, research-intensive chip-hardware projects in a program-management role.
• Experience leading programs across functions and departments and working with highly specialised technical experts.
• Ability to learn quickly in a highly technical, low-maturity field without requiring deep quantum-computing expertise initially.
• Ability to translate long-term strategy into execution plans and make pragmatic, informed decisions under uncertainty.
• MSc, PhD, or equivalent experience in physics, electrical engineering, microwave/RF engineering, semiconductor technology, or a related field.
• Understanding of the development lifecycle for chip-level technologies.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to motivate teams, facilitate alignment, and communicate program-management ideas to technical audiences.
• Fluent English and the ability to collaborate with Product, Research and Development, Operations, and Management stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in a fast-moving start-up or scale-up environment while balancing hands-on technical leadership with team growth.
• Experience with superconducting qubits or cryogenic systems.
