Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote-first from anywhere in Brazil, with an option to work from the São Paulo office. The Work From Anywhere program permits working from any country for up to 90 days per year.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable, resilient microservices handling 50M+ monthly accesses and high-concurrency environments.
• Contribute to the architectural evolution of the platform and integrate backend systems with AI/LLM conversational capabilities and large data ecosystems.
• Own the full software development lifecycle, including definition, development, testing, production, maintenance, observability, and post-mortems.
• Drive delivery quality through software development practices, code reviews, and design reviews.
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers and share technical knowledge across teams.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience building and evolving software architecture from the ground up for high-volume, distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of database design, evolution, and complex data modeling.
• Experience creating and maintaining RESTful APIs and integrating systems.
• Experience with software monitoring, observability, and performance tracking tools such as Datadog or New Relic.
• Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, learning mindset, and focus on delivering high-quality, data-driven software.
• Fluency in Portuguese and advanced English.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud service platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Knowledge of containers and orchestration, including Kubernetes or Docker.
• Understanding of event-driven architectures and message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Prior experience or strong interest in integrating applications with LLMs, AI agents, or heavy data pipelines.
