Database Administrator (PostgreSQL/ClickHouse)

hirify.global is hiring for production database operations across transactional, analytics, and caching systems.

What you will do

• Operate and optimize production PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, ClickHouse, and Redis databases.
• Maintain high availability, replication, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery testing across database engines.
• Tune queries, indexes, configuration, resource limits, and ClickHouse workloads.
• Manage Redis persistence, replication, failover, and real-time workloads.
• Plan capacity and storage growth, automate operations with infrastructure-as-code, and support cloud migrations.
• Review schema changes and migrations with engineering teams and participate in on-call incident response.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience as a DBA or Database Reliability Engineer.
• Strong experience with Big Data.
• Deep expertise in PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB, including replication, backup tooling, and performance tuning.
• Production experience with Redis, including persistence, replication, Sentinel, or Cluster.
• Production experience with ClickHouse or another columnar database.
• Experience designing high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions for databases.
• Solid Linux skills and scripting experience with Bash and Python.
• Experience with database monitoring and alerting.

Nice to have

• Experience with Amazon RDS or Aurora.
• Experience running databases on Kubernetes with operators.
• Experience with Ansible or Terraform.
• Experience with SOC 2 or similar compliance controls.
• Exposure to trading, fintech, or market-data platforms.
