Linux System Administrator

Location: Bogota; hybrid working model.

What you will do

• Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Linux systems, primarily RHEL, across virtualized and physical environments.
• Ensure system health and performance using orchestration and management tools.
• Manage virtual machine lifecycles in Azure and optionally Google Cloud Platform.
• Use Bash or shell scripting to deliver resources efficiently and securely.
• Participate in on-call rotations and occasional weekend maintenance.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation and collaborate on infrastructure and automation initiatives.

Requirements

• Advanced Linux System Administrator with strong operational experience and a deep understanding of Linux operating systems on virtual and physical platforms.
• Fluent English.
• Experience with NFS, CIFS, and operating-system-level Bash or shell scripting.
• Experience with Ansible or other automation tools such as Chef, Puppet, or Terraform.
• Proficiency in Azure.
• Independent and collaborative working style, proactive mindset, and strong troubleshooting skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with database-specific operations or automation support.
