Asset & Reliability Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: United Kingdom. Permanent day-shift position, Monday to Friday, supporting plant equipment, utilities and facilities.

hirify.global is partnering exclusively with a global client on a newly created asset and reliability engineering position.

What you will do

• Support the management of safety- and environmental-critical equipment, including maintenance, inspection and testing requirements in the CMMS.
• Monitor asset condition and integrity, identifying deterioration, obsolescence and risks requiring intervention.
• Develop and review preventive maintenance strategies using equipment criticality, failure history, manufacturer recommendations and inspection findings.
• Lead or support recurring-failure investigations, track corrective actions and review their effectiveness.
• Monitor reliability performance, including repeat failures, equipment availability, mean time between failures and mean time to repair.
• Provide technical support for repairs, replacement specifications, maintenance methods and prioritised equipment replacement, refurbishment and capital investment plans.

Requirements

• Understanding of process safety, safety- and environmental-critical equipment, inspection requirements and escalation of equipment defects.
• Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, reliability or asset integrity; chemical manufacturing or comparable process industry experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of safe systems of work, including permits to work, mechanical and electrical isolations, and risk assessments.
• Knowledge of equipment failure mechanisms and maintenance strategies within the relevant technical discipline, with the ability to recognise when specialist advice is required.
• Ability to investigate failures, assess technical evidence and recommend practical solutions.
