Mechatronic Design & Test Engineer (Drones)

What you will do

• Design, integrate and qualify mechanical and mechatronic assemblies, mounts, interfaces, sensors and actuators for drones and accessories.
• Collaborate with electronics designers and suppliers to develop manufacturable designs.
• Develop qualification rigs, production quality-control setups, CAD fixtures, adapters and instrumented systems.
• Integrate Raspberry Pi hardware and build Python tools for flashing, calibration, end-of-line checks, operator interfaces, serial-number traceability and data pipelines.
• Define and validate tests using requirements and FMEA, diagnose faults, improve production yield, and verify measurement accuracy and repeatability.
• Commission quality-control stations with Production Engineers, support production takeover and provide maintainable tools and documentation.

Requirements

• Depth in one engineering discipline combined with experience integrating mechanics, electronics and software into functioning systems.
• Interest in both product design and test engineering, including building tools for production-floor colleagues.
• Experience using AI agents to learn, design, code and analyze, with the ability to verify their output, improve workflows and share effective practices.
• Ability to prototype quickly, debug systematically and continue iterating until systems are reliable for other users.
