Junior Forward Deployed Engineer (GenAI)

What you will do

• Build GenAI solutions including RAG pipelines, tool-using agents, workflow automation, and chat interfaces with senior guidance.
• Connect AI applications to client APIs, databases, and business tools using established patterns and templates.
• Assess client operational challenges and help select appropriate approaches, including semantic search, agents, fine-tuning, and foundation models.
• Apply data protection and AI regulation requirements, including GDPR, the EU AI Act, and model licences.
• Support adoption through documentation, training sessions, user feedback, and clear updates to technical and business audiences.
• Measure solution performance in use and suggest improvements.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in computer science, AI, or a related technical field; strong technical projects may count alongside the degree.
• 0–2 years of experience from professional work, internships, research, or academic settings; recent graduates with solid LLM projects are encouraged to apply.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs, including prompting, RAG, basic agent workflows, and checking model outputs with simple evaluation sets or tests.
• Ability to write clean Python and willingness to learn languages required by client stacks.
• Experience calling APIs and connecting different systems, including through side projects.
• Ability to understand client usefulness, prioritise tasks with guidance, explain technical ideas to non-technical people, and listen carefully.
• Dutch and English are required.
• Willingness to grow quickly, take on more responsibility, and learn from experienced colleagues in a fast-growing AI practice.
• The position does not provide a work permit.

Nice to have

• German language skills.
• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI SDK, Anthropic SDK, or similar applied AI frameworks and SDKs.
• Experience deploying projects to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with MLOps or LLMOps, including prompt version control, evaluation pipelines, or monitoring.
• Working knowledge of vector databases and embeddings.
