Web Developer (AI)

Location: Fully remote from Chile; preferred location: Latin America. Working hours: 9 am to 5 pm EST. US holidays.

Salary: USD 1,600–2,000 per month.

What you will do

• Design and build websites and landing pages from Figma mockups using WordPress and Elementor.
• Use Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and other AI tools for code generation, debugging, design-to-page conversion, and task automation.
• Maintain multiple client websites and handle high-volume content, banner, link, plugin, and layout changes.
• Debug custom PHP, CSS, and JavaScript across WordPress and other CMS environments.
• Work with Blaze, Treez, Shopify, PrestaShop, Drupal, and menu platforms including Dutchie, Jane, COVA, and Breadstack.
• Handle migrations, DNS, Cloudflare, reverse proxies, technical SEO, GA4, GTM, schema, redirects, Core Web Vitals, WCAG accessibility, cannabis compliance, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional web development experience, including hands-on experience from before modern AI tools emerged.
• Experience working with US clients and in a digital marketing agency is required.
• Strong WordPress and Elementor proficiency, plus experience with multiple page builders.
• Experience with non-WordPress CMS platforms and the ability to learn new software quickly.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a strong understanding of underlying code structures.
• Daily use of Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or comparable AI tools, supported by concrete examples of time-saving workflows.
• Experience managing a high volume of websites simultaneously in an agency or multi-client setting.
• Strong design sense and a portfolio of well-performing, visually appealing websites.
• Understanding of technical SEO fundamentals and WCAG accessibility, plus clear written English communication for asynchronous remote work.

Nice to have

• Experience in the wellness niche, particularly cannabis dispensaries.
