Junior Software Developer (.NET)

Location: Herndon, VA; onsite with no telework. US citizenship and public trust clearance are required.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement software solutions, applications, and components for customers.
• Work as part of an Agile Scrum team under the guidance of a senior software developer and project manager.
• Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting defects.
• Communicate with business users, team members, and leadership while delivering quality results on time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 0–4 years of experience writing enterprise .NET Windows and/or modern web applications.
• Experience with .NET, IIS, XML, C#, and JavaScript.
• Good understanding of relational database management systems and experience writing SQL stored procedures.
• Experience with ALM tools such as IBM Jazz or TFS.
• Ability to communicate clearly with business users, the team, and leadership.
• Results-oriented approach with a focus on delivering on time and with quality.
• US citizenship and public trust clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience automating builds and deployments.
• Experience with CI/CD automation in a DevOps environment.
• Design experience, including common design patterns and relevant libraries.
