Consultant (Technical)

Location: McLean/Tysons, Virginia; on-site. Travel up to 20% is required for customer engagements and on-site collaboration.

Salary: $75,000–$175,000 USD base salary per year, plus potential government clearance differential and discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy custom automation solutions across the full project lifecycle using hirify.global’s low-code platform.
• Build data connections and scalable APIs integrating external enterprise systems through REST, SOAP, and JDBC.
• Launch relational data models in production and optimize database design with SQL development.
• Deliver features in cross-functional Agile teams using sprints, stand-ups, and pair programming.
• Collaborate with client technical teams and business stakeholders, support platform adoption, and train users.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a closely related technical field.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in software development or technical implementation consulting.
• Experience with object-oriented programming, database design, and SQL, including complex queries, joins, and views.
• Ability to analyze client business processes and translate them into functional and technical system requirements.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% for customer engagements and on-site collaboration.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with modern cloud architecture and environments, including AWS, Google Cloud, or Elastic Containers.
• Exposure to AI, machine learning, analytics, and automated test suites within a continuous integration framework.
• Experience with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce or ServiceNow.
