Enterprise Architect (AWS)

Location: Hybrid in Košice, Slovakia; remote work is available only within Slovakia.

Salary: Negotiable base salary from €2,500 gross per month, plus variable compensation and other financial benefits.

What you will do

• Define and drive enterprise architecture standards, methodologies, service offerings, and reusable delivery frameworks.
• Lead cloud transformation, migration, and modernization strategies for enterprise customers.
• Design target AWS architectures and landing zones, and build production systems using services such as ALB, ELB, WAF, S3, Serverless, APIs, and Route 53.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code, automation, DevSecOps, platform engineering, and AI-assisted migration and delivery initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership across customer engagements, architecture boards, solution reviews, pre-sales activities, and strategic transformation programs.
• Mentor architects and engineers, lead customer workshops, and act as an escalation point for complex architecture challenges.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional IT experience with a strong focus on cloud transformation and enterprise architecture.
• Deep expertise in AWS, virtualization, infrastructure, networking, security, and managed services.
• Extensive experience leading large-scale cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Knowledge of operating models, landing zones, governance frameworks, enterprise cloud adoption strategies, Infrastructure as Code, automation, DevSecOps, and platform engineering.
• Ability to translate business requirements into executable technical strategies and manage stakeholders from engineering teams through executive leadership.
• Experience building service portfolios, methodologies, standards, or reusable delivery frameworks.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, negotiation, mentoring, analytical thinking, stakeholder management, and functional leadership skills.
• Ability to drive architectural decisions in highly ambiguous and complex environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with OpenStack, Kubernetes, cloud-native technologies, and automation platforms.
