What you will do

• Design, implement, and continuously improve secure CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
• Orchestrate releases and environment promotion across development, QA, UAT/staging, and production, including deployment scripts, rollback procedures, data restoration, secrets, feature flags, and configuration drift checks.
• Provision and automate cloud infrastructure in AWS GovCloud and Microsoft Azure Government using infrastructure as code, and configure monitoring and alerting with CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, and Splunk.
• Integrate static and dynamic analysis, dependency and container scanning, vulnerability checks, automated testing, and policy enforcement into delivery pipelines.
• Coordinate with developers, architects, QA and test automation engineers, Scrum teams, infrastructure teams, SOC personnel, and Federal ISSOs.
• Prepare ATO and compliance evidence, support vulnerability remediation and patching, inventory digital assets, and automate migration and cutover activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of professional experience in cloud engineering, DevOps/DevSecOps, or systems engineering, including at least 3 years building and operating CI/CD pipelines for Agile software teams in a Federal Government environment.
• Advanced knowledge of CI/CD platforms including GitHub Enterprise/GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps; Git; AWS and/or Microsoft Azure; infrastructure as code such as Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, or Bicep; Docker; Kubernetes; PowerShell, Bash, or Python; and SAST, DAST, dependency, and container scanning.
• Must meet U.S. DOT contract requirements, including a favorable Public Trust background investigation and suitability determination.
• Must follow secure coding and delivery practices aligned with NIST SP 800-218 and the OWASP Top 10.
• At least one current cloud or DevOps certification, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Administrator, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
• DOT Public Trust security clearance is required.

Nice to have

• CompTIA Security+ or an equivalent security certification.
• Federal contracting experience, particularly civilian agency IT modernization or Software Factory programs; prior DOT experience is a plus.
• Agile/Scrum delivery experience and familiarity with FedRAMP-authorized AWS GovCloud and Azure Government environments.
• Experience with NIST Risk Management Framework, NIST SP 800-53, ATO processes, continuous monitoring, and FISMA compliance.
• Experience supporting deployment pipelines for Salesforce, Microsoft Power Platform, ServiceNow, Dynamics 365, Appian, .NET, or Java applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
