Senior Casualty Underwriter, Italy

Location: Milano, Italy. Team members are expected to be primarily in the office.

What you will do

• Underwrite new and renewal Casualty business and develop profitable solutions for complex risks.
• Work with brokers to communicate risk appetite and value propositions, understand deal structures, and address client needs.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions, and deal structures with brokers and clients.
• Generate new business by expanding broker networks, attending broker events, and developing market relationships.
• Collaborate with Distribution, territory managers, and underwriters in other business lines on target accounts and cross-selling opportunities.
• Provide customer service, guidance, mentoring, and training to less-experienced underwriters.

Requirements

• Proven underwriting experience with good knowledge of Casualty.
• Ability to analyze financial statements.
• Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Customer- and sales-oriented behavior, including motivation, tenacity, focus, technical skills, proactivity, and accountability.
• Interest in mentoring and training, including willingness to develop these skills if not previously responsible for them.
