Senior Software Engineer – C++ / Linux (Flight Simulation)

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, integrate, and verify software components using C++ in Linux environments.
• Contribute to software architecture and technical design, promoting modularity, maintainability, and reuse.
• Build, debug, troubleshoot, and manage dependencies and configurations with CMake and Conan.
• Use Git, Docker, automated tests, static analysis, code-quality tools, and continuous integration practices.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, continuous improvement, and collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of professional software development experience, including substantial C++ experience.
• Strong knowledge of modern C++ (C++14/17 or later), including STL, memory management, object-oriented design, and software engineering practices.
• Solid Linux experience with command-line tools, shell scripting, software development, and debugging.
• Practical experience with CMake, software dependency and package management, preferably Conan.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative version-control workflows.
• Practical Docker experience for development, testing, or integration.
• Good understanding of software testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and code-quality practices.
• Ability to analyze complex technical problems, work independently, and take ownership of software deliverables.
• Good communication and effective collaboration skills in an international engineering environment; candidates must meet all legal and professional requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with flight simulation systems, simulation frameworks, or simulation software.
• Knowledge of flight-simulation architectures, relevant standards, interoperability concepts, aeronautical systems, avionics, flight dynamics models, or aircraft systems simulation.
• Experience with automated testing, unit and integration testing, and code coverage.
• Experience with Jenkins, SonarQube, Clang-Tidy, software architecture principles, design patterns, and reusable components.
• Experience with MIL, SIL, and HIL integration and testing environments.
• Experience in aerospace, defence, or other complex engineering domains.
