Senior Java Developer

What you will do

• Implement and maintain software components for a tax administration system covering the full lifecycle of tax declarations, calculations, and assessments.
• Perform system integration, unit testing, troubleshooting, incident analysis, and resolution.
• Integrate the platform with external systems using REST/SOAP services and messaging.
• Estimate project efforts and delivery timelines while collaborating with teammates and project stakeholders.
• Provide technical input into product roadmaps and participate in triage activities.
• Support and optimize CI/CD processes.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Java development.
• Strong experience with Spring Framework and Quarkus.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with relational databases, including PostgreSQL or another RDBMS.
• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and messaging technologies such as Kafka or ActiveMQ.
• Good understanding of testing principles.
• Ability to communicate confidently in English.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders and distributed teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in Angular front-end development.
• German or Swiss German language skills.
