Java Development Team Lead (iGaming)

What you will do

• Lead and grow a high-performing Java development team while mentoring engineers and future technical leaders.
• Own the technical direction and architecture of a scalable iGaming B2B platform.
• Drive best practices in Java, Redis, and PostgreSQL, ensuring code quality, scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Build and manage integrations with third-party systems and external services.
• Own features end to end, from design and development through deployment and support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, resolve product issues, and improve existing systems and architecture.

Requirements

• 8+ years of Core Java development experience.
• Experience developing casino slot games, including understanding of the slot game development lifecycle and regulatory considerations.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Proven track record building scalable backend systems.
• Hands-on iGaming experience, particularly with casino game servers.
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with gambling mechanics and industry concepts.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Quarkus.
• Knowledge of WebSockets, JWT, and CORS.
• Experience with Docker, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar technologies.
• Background in performance optimization and system tuning.
• Familiarity with certification processes for casino game servers.
