TL;DR
Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing): Developing and manufacturing silicon products through product, yield, and manufacturing data analysis with an accent on semiconductor datasets, yield improvement, product quality, and reliability. Focus on identifying variation and failure mechanisms, building repeatable analytical workflows, and turning complex manufacturing data into actionable engineering conclusions.

Location: London - JJ Mack or Bristol - The Crescent, United Kingdom; worldwide travel may be required.

Company

hirify.global develops chips and systems designed to accelerate inference for frontier AI models, with a focus on generating outputs at high speed and operating large models over long contexts.

What you will do

  • Analyse large and complex product, yield, manufacturing and test datasets across New Product Introduction, Yield Engineering and Product Quality.
  • Identify trends, correlations, excursions, yield-loss mechanisms, parameter distributions, outliers, spatial patterns and lot-to-lot variation.
  • Investigate product and process issues across wafer fabrication, IC assembly, packaging, testing and high-volume production.
  • Develop scripts, automated analyses, dashboards and repeatable workflows for engineering investigations and reporting.
  • Guide root-cause investigations, reliability and failure analysis, qualification activities and selection of destructive or non-destructive investigation techniques.
  • Communicate technical findings through visualisations, reports and presentations while collaborating with engineering teams and manufacturing partners.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable semiconductor-industry experience in Product Engineering, Test Engineering, Yield Engineering, Data Analytics or Quality Engineering, ideally from NPI through high-volume production.
  • Strong experience analysing semiconductor manufacturing and test data, including WAT, WS/CP and FT datasets and correlations across manufacturing and test stages.
  • Experience with wafer-fab data, including Process Integration, Yield Enhancement, D0 Control, defect reduction and process variation; IC assembly and package design, 3D IC and wafer stacking, assembly quality and yield engineering; or fabless semiconductor qualification, reliability, failure analysis, RMA investigation and production monitoring.
  • Excellent data-mining, statistical-analysis and root-cause-investigation skills, including SPC, Cp/Cpk, distributions, correlation analysis, hypothesis testing and trend analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with semiconductor data-analysis tools such as yieldHUB, Spotfire, JMP or equivalent.
  • Ability to combine data from multiple manufacturing stages and sources and turn complex datasets into clear engineering conclusions.
  • Understanding of semiconductor failure-analysis methods, FMEA-derived qualification plans and relevant standards such as JEDEC.
  • Ability to work independently on ambiguous technical problems, manage multiple investigations and communicate effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel worldwide when needed.

Nice to have

  • Experience building automated semiconductor yield-monitoring, reporting or anomaly-detection workflows.
  • Experience using SQL, Python or similar data-analysis tools with large semiconductor datasets.
  • Experience developing dashboards, standard analytical journals or reusable engineering-analysis frameworks.
  • Multicultural awareness, including experience working with Far East suppliers and manufacturing partners.
  • A Bachelor's degree or above in Electronics, Microelectronics, Semiconductor Physics, Engineering or a similar discipline.

Culture & Benefits

  • Full-time role with a diverse and inclusive office environment.
  • Competitive salary reflecting experience and the specialist nature of the role.
  • Meaningful equity and ownership participation.
  • Private medical, dental and vision coverage, contributory pension, 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays, and life/critical illness insurance.
  • Export-control eligibility checks may be required because the work involves technologies subject to UK, US and other international regulations.
