Java Cloud Developer (m/f/d)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, performant Java backend services for internal systems.
• Build and operate cloud-native applications and microservices focused on reliability, security, and observability.
• Design and integrate APIs and data pipelines connecting autonomous systems with cloud services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement product requirements and contribute to backend architecture.
• Troubleshoot complex backend issues and help ensure system uptime and stability.
• Mentor and guide junior developers.

Requirements

• Several years of professional backend development experience with Java, including modern versions such as Java 17+.
• Solid experience with Spring Boot or comparable frameworks, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: Azure preferred; AWS or GCP also accepted.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes, plus CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and messaging or event-driven architectures.
• Understanding of security, scalability, and performance in distributed systems.
• Ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and operate in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Nice to have

• Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, Bicep, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar streaming and messaging systems.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or other observability tools.
• Background in geospatial data, telemetry, or sensor and robotic-system data pipelines.
• Experience in defence, aerospace, or another regulated environment.
