Senior Staff Solution Enablement Engineer (Security)

Location: Penang, Malaysia; satisfactory proof of the right to work in Malaysia is required.

What you will do

• Lead customer enablement for FPGA-based security and Root-of-Trust solutions from evaluation and design-in through integration and deployment.
• Provide technical leadership for complex customer security applications, including architecture, integration, implementation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Develop user guides, application notes, reference designs, programming examples, technical documentation, and other customer-facing collateral.
• Build reference solutions for security capabilities and representative customer use cases.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Engineering, Root-of-Trust Solution Development, Technical Support, and Field Applications Engineering to translate customer requirements into product and solution improvements.
• Deliver technical training and workshops, mentor engineers, and support new product and solution introductions.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience in FPGA applications, embedded systems, security applications, or related customer-facing technical roles.
• Strong knowledge of authentication, encryption, digital signatures, hashing, key management, and secure boot.
• Good understanding of PKI, hardware Root-of-Trust, and Post-Quantum Cryptography.
• Hands-on experience with FPGA architecture, configuration, development flows, and RTL design/debugging using Verilog and/or VHDL.
• Strong C and C++ programming experience, particularly for embedded firmware development.
• Experience integrating embedded processors or microcontrollers with programmable logic and security functions.
• Experience with JTAG, SPI, I²C, and UART, plus strong hardware, FPGA, and embedded firmware debugging skills.
• Experience developing production-quality technical documentation, reference designs, or customer-facing application examples and supporting complex customer designs.
• Ability to lead complex technical engagements independently, troubleshoot across hardware, FPGA logic, embedded software, and security, and work across geographically distributed teams without direct reporting authority.
• Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills, including the ability to explain complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience participating in product or solution development from requirements and implementation through documentation, market release, and solution enablement.
