Associate Branch Manager, Ameriprise Financial Advisors - New Orleans, LA (Financial Services)

Location: New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. Hybrid schedule with work in the office at least four days per week and flexibility to work from home one day per week; some roles may require additional in-office time.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop financial advisors to drive profitable branch growth.
• Maintain or build a personal wealth management practice and serve clients through the Ameriprise Client Experience.
• Create and execute business plans focused on growth, client acquisition, financial planning, investment solutions, and retention.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and ramp-up of experienced advisors, including local lead generation and candidate management.
• Monitor branch metrics and conduct regular coaching and results reviews with advisors and branch leadership.
• Support compliance, supervision, risk management, and a culture of peer learning, integrity, and client focus.

Requirements

• Obtain and maintain the registrations required to oversee broker/dealer operations and develop advisor training.
• Active FINRA Series 7 registration or ability to obtain it within 150 days.
• Active State Securities Agent Registration, Series 63 or 66, or ability to obtain it within 150 days.
• Active Life, Accident/Health, and Variable Contracts insurance licenses or ability to obtain them within 150 days.
• Investment Advisor Representative registration in states where the advisor has a place of business, Series 65 or 66, or ability to obtain it within 150 days.
• At least 3 years of people management experience and at least 4 years of professional experience, with an excellent compliance record and knowledge of compliance requirements.
• Valid United States work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• 3–5 years of demonstrated sales success, including client acquisition and closing business.
• Leadership skills and the ability to motivate others to achieve results.
• Business planning, strategic management, self-direction, achievement orientation, and the ability to execute a results-oriented playbook.
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to analyze data and reports to identify business opportunities.
• Relevant industry designations, such as CFP.
