Customs Brokerage Agent (Logistics)

Location: Brisbane, California, United States; must be local.

Salary: USD 24–30 per hour. Expected hourly range: USD 24.00–31.00.

What you will do

• Ensure the smooth, accurate, and timely movement and customs clearance of freight.
• Enter operational data, track and trace shipments, and maintain accurate client billing, including dispute resolution.
• Communicate proactively with internal and external customers, service providers, and government agencies.
• Ensure customer SOPs, KPIs, company policies, and external regulations are followed.
• Identify efficiency improvements, adopt technology, and complete cross-training to support team coverage.
• Complete 52 hours of training annually, including mandatory training, and develop customer relationships.

Requirements

• Knowledge of or prior experience with industry-specific qualifications.
• Effective interpersonal, listening, comprehension, and concise communication skills.
• Proactive approach and strong organizational skills.
• Good computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong understanding of software development principles and familiarity with data structures, APIs, integrations, and system architecture.
• Experience with automation platforms such as Power Automate and Microsoft Copilot and M365 technologies.
• Basic understanding of AI, machine learning, LLMs, and prompt engineering.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently, analyze and solve problems, understand complex operational processes, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and manage stakeholders.
• Must be local to the Brisbane, California location.

• Experience developing automations, applications, or digital solutions.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects.
• Experience in operations, logistics, finance, or enterprise shared services environments.
• Certifications in Microsoft Power Platform, Azure AI, Microsoft Copilot, or related technologies.
