Operations Data Analytics Manager

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States; travel up to 20% by airplane or vehicle may be required.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of operational dashboards, reports, scorecards, datasets, and analytical tools.
• Source, organize, prepare, and analyze operational data for recurring reporting, ad hoc analysis, and business needs.
• Translate operational and analytical requirements into data structures, calculations, report logic, and technical reporting specifications.
• Validate data and reporting accuracy, troubleshoot anomalies and discrepancies, and maintain standards for documentation, testing, maintenance, and change control.
• Automate recurring reports, manual data processes, and analytical workflows to improve scalability and efficiency.
• Partner with Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, Data Engineering, IT, and other technical teams while leading and developing the Operations data analytics team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Five years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, operational analytics, reporting, or a related field.
• Experience developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions, including large and complex datasets.
• Experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, Qlik, or similar platforms.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases, with strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data integration concepts.
• Advanced knowledge of data analytics, reporting methodologies, data structures, business intelligence practices, visualization, reporting, and analytical tools.
• Strong understanding of data validation, reporting logic, calculation methodology, quality assurance, reporting automation, and scalable analytical processes.
• Ability to translate operational and business requirements into scalable data, reporting, dashboard, and analytical solutions; identify and troubleshoot anomalies, discrepancies, calculation errors, and source-system inconsistencies.
• Experience leading analytical projects, technical workstreams, or data/reporting teams, with strong project management, prioritization, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, written communication, verbal communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders, establish reporting standards and documentation practices, lead and develop an analytics team, and adapt to changing technologies and business needs.
