Associate Director, Technical Product Management (Pharmacovigilance)

Location: Hybrid role with a primary location in Rahway, New Jersey, USA; available to residents of the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. Travel requirements: 10%. No relocation.

Salary: $142,400–$224,100 per year for the primary location, plus potential annual bonus and long-term incentive.

What you will do

• Develop and implement pharmacovigilance strategies, processes, and systems that support patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog, product strategy, roadmap, business value, and delivery timelines.
• Oversee systems for adverse event reporting, case management, signal detection, and PV quality control.
• Maintain compliance with global pharmacovigilance regulations, including International Council for Harmonisation guidelines.
• Partner with Clinical, Regulatory, Safety, Business Technology, and other functions to implement new systems and enhancements.
• Build stakeholder alignment, guide decision-making, and influence cross-functional execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Six or more years of experience in data governance, compliance, privacy, risk management, AI governance, or related roles.
• Experience with data governance, data products, digital solutions, and Agentic AI-enabled programs.
• Ability to develop policies, standards, SOPs, and governance processes.
• Working knowledge of data management, including data quality, metadata, security and privacy, and master data management.
• Ability to identify and manage governance, compliance, privacy, and risk issues, including understanding healthcare compliance laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical audiences, writing, organization, problem-solving, collaboration, and influencing skills.
• Ability to drive change, continuous improvement, and adoption of governance practices in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and evolving environment.
• Experience developing and delivering training and guidance to broad audiences and building trusted internal and external stakeholder relationships.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree, MBA, or equivalent.
• Experience supporting IT, data, analytics, or AI solutions in a complex or regulated environment.
• Experience with privacy and data protection, compliance training, reporting, remediation, quality management systems, healthcare or life sciences, or pharmacovigilance compliance.
