Associate Software Engineer

Location: East Syracuse, New York, United States. Onsite role with up to 10% domestic and international travel. Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for access to classified information.

Salary: $72,000–$90,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop software products and execute projects supporting hirify.global’s safety-focused mission.
• Contribute to product development and project delivery within a collaborative engineering team.
• Apply C/C++ programming and object-oriented analysis and design, preferably using UML.
• Work with Unix-based systems, including Linux, and systematically evaluate data.
• Travel domestically and internationally for up to 10% of the time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 1 year of related experience.
• Experience programming in C/C++.
• Object-oriented analysis and design skills, preferably utilizing UML.
• Experience with Unix-based systems, including Linux.
• Ability to systematically evaluate data and work in a dynamic team environment.
• Must be a U.S. citizen; selected applicants may undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for classified information access.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice to have

• Relational database experience with SQL.
• Familiarity with software version control systems such as Subversion.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
