Enterprise Data Analyst Specialist (Healthcare IT/Data)

Location: Remote anywhere within the continental United States, excluding California, New York, Alaska, and Hawaii

Salary: $102,000–$184,300 annual base pay, with compensation varying by skills, education, knowledge, experience, and location.

What you will do

• Participate in business-unit strategy discussions to understand and capture high-level business needs.
• Develop user stories and user acceptance criteria for Epics supporting data components of projects and programs.
• Lead the gathering, analysis, documentation, and communication of business and technical requirements for new solutions.
• Work with application, solutions, and data architects to translate requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Analyze healthcare, innovation, and technology trends and their implications for valuable data products.
• Validate requirements during project delivery and User Acceptance Testing, represent stakeholder needs, support Data Engineering customers, and perform data profiling.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Studies, or a related field plus 7 years of Data & Analytics experience; or technical certification and/or related college coursework plus 11 years of experience.
• Experience in Healthcare IT/Data.
• Strong experience with database platforms such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, Teradata, Hadoop, or Azure.
• Experience with job schedulers such as Zena or Control-M.
• Experience with SQL, Python, Spark, or similar written languages.
• Experience with database configuration, database modeling concepts, and Source-to-Target data mapping.
• Experience defining requirements and interpreting technical information.
• Knowledge of SDLC methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, or Iterative Development.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, oral, written, and collaborative product mindset skills.

Nice to have

• 5–7 years of Healthcare IT/Data experience.
• Knowledge of FHIR interoperability standards.
• Experience with Blue Cross Blue Shield plans.
