Sr. New Product Development Engineer, ICP (Circuit Protection)

Salary: $93,900–$145,560 per year

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, testing, and commercialization of new circuit protection products.
• Develop concepts, prototypes, mechanical specifications, engineering drawings, design documentation, and cost estimates.
• Plan and execute product verification and validation, analyze test results, and improve product performance.
• Research materials, technologies, and industry trends; procure samples, build prototypes, and validate design concepts.
• Drive cost reduction and product optimization initiatives while supporting product industrialization and launches.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders; prepare technical reports and project updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
• At least 10 years of experience designing electrical power fuses, fuse accessories, or related circuit protection products.
• Strong knowledge of fuse design principles and circuit protection technologies.
• Understanding of industry standards, certification requirements, and third-party approval processes, including UL or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing environments and product industrialization processes.
• Proven project management experience and ability to lead multiple development activities simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including spreadsheets and documentation tools.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar 2D/3D CAD software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, product testing, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively across engineering, operations, quality, customer-facing, and global teams.

Nice to have

• Medium Voltage Fuse experience.
