MEP Estimator (Data Center)

What you will do

• Prepare pre-contract estimates, cost plans, and Bills of Quantities for mission-critical MEP systems, including HV/LV distribution, generators, UPS systems, chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, chilled water piping, containment, fire protection, ASD, and ELV systems.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from engineering drawings and calculate material, equipment, and heavy-duty labor volumes.
• Evaluate specialist equipment and subcontractor quotations and conduct commercial bid leveling.
• Maintain benchmark unit rates, labor norms, and critical equipment pricing.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams on value engineering during design development.
• Review specifications and design scopes, identify cost gaps, and price changes between tender and IFC stages while partnering with internal leads, clients, consultants, and specialist contractors.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience in pre-contract MEP estimating, tender preparation, and cost planning within a main contractor, MEP specialist subcontractor, or cost consultancy environment.
• Advanced analytical skills for investigating, interpreting, and measuring complex data center MEP drawings, Single Line Diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with data center and construction MEP terminology, resilience standards, equipment lead times, and specialist subcontractor cost structures across the Southeast Asian market.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for presenting cost reports and trade comparisons.
• Ability to independently manage multiple estimating deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with teams and clients through transparency and shared purpose.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Services, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.

• Portfolio experience in data centers, cleanrooms, or high-tech industrial facilities.
