JAMF Engineer II

Location: Bethesda, Maryland, United States; work is primarily performed in an office environment.

Estimated annual pay range: $81,800–$115,000; final offer depends on location, skillset, and experience.

What you will do

• Administer and maintain JAMF Pro environments for enterprise macOS devices.
• Configure Mac enrollment workflows using Apple Business Manager and Automated Device Enrollment.
• Develop JAMF policies, configuration profiles, smart groups, software packages, and automated workflows.
• Deploy software and operating system updates, manage endpoint inventory and lifecycle processes, and support macOS security baselines.
• Integrate JAMF with Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Okta, Microsoft Intune, and other endpoint platforms.
• Troubleshoot device management and deployment issues, develop Bash/Python/Shell automation, produce reports and documentation, and provide Tier II/III support.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain, maintain, and access classified information at the Public Trust level.
• Experience deploying or implementing JAMF Pro environments, including new builds, migrations, or cloud-based deployments.
• 3+ years of experience administering JAMF Pro in an enterprise environment and experience managing macOS devices at scale.
• Experience with Apple Business Manager, Automated Device Enrollment, JAMF policies, configuration profiles, and software packages.
• Knowledge of macOS administration, security, and endpoint management best practices.
• Experience integrating JAMF with enterprise identity and authentication solutions.
• Experience with Bash, Python, or Shell scripting and automation.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, plus excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting federal government agencies or cloud-hosted JAMF environments.
• Experience integrating JAMF Pro with Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53, FISMA, federal cybersecurity requirements, DISA STIGs, Zero Trust, and endpoint security programs.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, certificate management, PKI, and secure device enrollment.
• JAMF Certified Associate, Technician, Admin, or Expert; CompTIA Security+; Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate; or ITIL Foundation certification.
